A man with apparent psychiatric problems forced his way through a Vatican security gate late May 18 by speeding past Swiss Guards and Vatican gendarmes in a vehicle before being apprehended in a Vatican courtyard.

It was quiet Saturday morning at home after several full weekends in a row. I had hoped to sleep in but the youngest was up early counting down the minutes until I got out of bed. The sun was shining in spite of a forecast for rain, and my head was an inexplicable cloud of shame. I have been practising living with joy, and so I committed to look patiently at the cloud with love.
It is not a long road that leads us to justice — it is a mighty river that flows to a faraway sea. It flows more quickly at some times than at others. There are also twists and turns and perilous rapids. Roads and rivers are both long. But unlike a road — which we may or may not take — a river is inevitable. Resistance against it is impossible.
Not long ago, there was a round table discussion produced by The Daily Wire that included Dennis Prager (Jewish), Jordan Peterson (raised Christian, open to belief in Jesus) and Jonathan Pageau (Orthodox). For want of a better word, The Daily Wire, along with these particular men, is known to be “conservative,” in wanting to conserve what’s good in the culture.
