In Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, the Ark of the Covenant is revealed to be a frightening artefact hunted by Nazis for the power it can offer to those who hold it. While Hollywood’s interpretation of this sacred item is predictably sensationalized, the story of the Ark as it is discussed in the Old Testament, is no less dramatic.
