40 Days for Life

Just days after a small group of pro-lifers gathered in driving rain to mark the midpoint event of 40 Days for Life in the Archdiocese of Vancouver, an abortion-related announcement has left pro-lifers reacting with cautious hope.

Umbrellas were raised and prayers sent heavenward as a small band of Catholics gathered in a relentless downpour to celebrate the midway point of the Archdiocese of Vancouver’s 40 Days for Life campaign.

On a chilly morning with light snow falling, hundreds gathered at Coquitlam’s Our Lady of Lourdes Church to share their hopes and strategies for this year’s 40 Days for Life campaign.

The annual 40 Days for Life vigil of peaceful prayer and fasting for the protection of the unborn returns to Toronto in coming days.
